How can I prevent bad breath?
- Cut down on sugary foods
- Brush and floss teeth after meals
- Use toothpaste and mouthwash containing fluoride
- Cleanse and strengthen teeth by chewing crisp, raw vegetables
- Teeth also need calcium (RDA 800-1000mg) found in milk, sardines, mineral water, green vegetables, nuts, canned salmon.
I always forget to take my calcium tablets. Solution, buy soft calcium chews with great chocolate, caramel flavor. It’s so delicious, that you will never forget to take your calcium.
- Make an herbal mouthwash. Half a handful of rose petals, blueberry leaves, violet petals, and/or sage in 2pt (liter) of water, use daily, eases gum inflammation and helps to protect and strengthen teeth.
- Sweeten bad breath by chewing a small handful of fresh parsley.
